Nothing in this world compares to the comfort and security of having someone just hold your hand.
- Richelle E. Goodrich
People have always been in search for that one person who can make them feel warm when the harsh cold of loneliness sets in. Of course, you need, someone who makes you feel comfortable and with whom we can just hold hands and stare at the stars....

Holding hands isn't just meant to be a significance a newly cropped up love, but it should be the gesture of affection to anyone who may need it. Holding hands can have many different meanings, depending on who you are holding hands with. It symbolises different feelings and thoughts, depending on the situation, or the person, so let's just know about various meanings of holding hands!

Holding Hands in Relationships

If you're in an intimate relationship holding hands may seem as just a simple gesture, but it screams mutual consent of affection. It may have a big impact on your relationship and symbolises the connection you have. It is also a message you send to your better half letting them know, how proud you are to have them in your life.

Holding Hands with Friends

Holding hands of your friends is a symbol, that shows how bonded you'll are. It is a sign of respect or deep friendship and may not indicate any type of romantic relationship when it comes to the same sex or even opposite sex. Holding hands may also just indicate friendship and sense of comfort the person have between them.

Holding Hands With Family Members

Once, I was holding my mother's hand for crossing a busy road together we crossed the road to ensure she was okay. And I just continued holding hands afterwards, as we entered the vegetable market. Later that day, my mother shared how she'd never really held my hands since the time I entered my teenage. That's when I learned about the importance of showing affection, through just a simple gesture of holding hands.

Remember, in hard times family members will often reach out for each other's hand as a gesture to comfort each other. It indicates support and compassion and the huge connection the family has.

The belief that people do not appreciate simplicity, in my opinion, is prevaricated. Keep in mind, holding hands costs nothing. But this simple act of holding a person's hand might just save a life! So #LetsMakeHoldingHandsASimpleImpactfulGestureAgain :P

Think about the last time you held hands. Who was the person? Why did you hold hands? What is your fondest memory of holding hands? Share your views in the comments.

You remember that first day of the new year where you start off strong, with a long list of resolutions planned, ready to conquer. And maybe you do follow them for a week, or maybe two.

But then comes that hurricane of seemingly insignificant annoyance and procrastination that suddenly rips off your resolution list.

Well, that's why I had written down my not to do list for this year at the start of the year. The reason why I had made a "not-to-do" list at the start of the year was because I just may just break it if I had taken one.

So here's 3 Resolutions I Make and Break Every Year:

Lose Weight and Get fit.

Before I start explaining, in my defence I'd like to say that I did go to the gym. Well, maybe not to workout but to find out more about the gym! But then, come the accidental New Year food discounts and I just strike off the resolution from my list.

Start brushing my teeth at night!

Okay, so this resolution may sound like one a 10-year-old may take! But believe me, I did try to brush my teeth at night on the first day of the year. But you know I do have that midnight food craving and my irregular sleep timings made it worst!

And Finally,

Be More Assertive

So for those who don't know, "Being assertive means that you express yourself effectively and stand up for your point of view, while also respecting the rights and beliefs of others."

So here's the reason why I couldn't be more assertive. Well, becoming more assertive is far too unrestrictive as a resolution. It isn't something that's specific or measurable, thus, it’s easy to break.

While the new year is a great time to reflect on the areas where you would like to improve, there’s absolutely no reason for you to place so much pressure to make progress on a single date.

So next year, let's just believe that... people make resolutions because of how they THINK they will feel when they make those changes in their life. You know what, that feeling is what happiness is.

And Guess what?

Happiness is always available to you (even though you break resolutions!).

Well, before we start you must know that I'm extremely sick today... If you don't love the post just leave a comment down asking me to "Stop Blogging". (Which I probably will never stop doing!) So let's start it now!

There may come a time in your life when you may have been or may be betrayed by a close friend of yours. To say I'll be surprised would be a lie, but to say I may be disappointed would be an understatement. I personally always hate the sequence of events that proceed betrayal by anyone, let alone someone considered to be a person close to you or someone you once proclaimed to be yours.

You may feel an ache in your stomach from the initial blow of the let down, continued by the pulsating of your temple as you try to ponder why this is happening, and the pacing back and forth across an empty room in attempts to maintain your serenity.

Lessons are very painful in life, but personally this one hits me harder than most. I am very familiar with fake friends and the very real heartache that comes each time their true nature is revealed. I know the pain that accompanies the betrayal of a false friend is a sting not like many others. But I also know the relief of the removal of such a person from your life is just as great!

Sometimes we are unaware of the wolves in sheep's clothing that have crept into our houses. We are left to wonder which is worse? One, That they were wolves from the start or Two, we are just now figuring it out? Either way, it hurts.

I am getting better at acceptance and trusting there is a reason for the way things happen sometimes. We do not always understand why the temporal pain we feel may very well be for long term happiness.

If someone has lied to you, hurt you or hindered your progress in life repeatedly, JUST THROW HIM OUT OF YOUR LIFE. Now, what if he applogizes? I agree forgiveness is necessary, but self sabotage isn't.

Here's what I'd like to tell to all my "FAKE FRIENDS" out there,

"Guys, Just can you not. Like I am dead serious. I am sick of hearing you. Just go. Don’t like me? SHUT YOUR EYES. what are you doing here!? Go away. You are irrelevant to my life. you are nothing to me. I don't even understand why your still here. You did nothing but backstabbed me. So just go. Also please don't bother going through your trash looking for old photos of way back when we used to be friends... "

Fake friends are a very real problem for us all. Not many can say they have not experienced one in their life at some point. Despite a few bad apples, the harvest of your relationships will prove to be pie worthy! Do not be bitter in the betrayal of these people, but allow the experience to make you a bit better each time!

Lets end it here!

I have an everyday religion that works for me. Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line.
- Lucille Ball
Many of us usually think of falling in love as a process specific to dating, but in reality, we fall in love in so many different ways and with so many different things. I personally fall in love with people, places, literature, art, and even states of mind.

While many of us look for love from a partner and mate, we often miss out on the person who has some amazing love to give, and who is amazing: the person looking back at us from the mirror.

If we fall in love with ourselves, we will discover a source of love that doesn't run out.You may say that often others do love us even if we don't love ourselves, they may see the awesome within us, even if we don’t.

Well, the problem here is that if we don't love ourselves, we may have a lack of self-confidence, insecurities and jealousies, self-dislike, unhappiness, and so on. If we allow this cycle of negativity to continue, we might behave in ways that push others away and then that love from others that we crave might not be around for long. So loving ourselves is important from that angle.

So in short, if we learn to love ourselves, then we’ll always be around someone who loves us, and be happier… we'll be more confident, secure, positive, and fun! So let's find out how to start your journey to a loving relationship—with yourself.

Start writing

No one's asking you have to pen the next great novel,(even if you possibly could!) but one of the best ways to get to know yourself is writing down your thoughts. Even if you only write a few sentences a day, you never know what you might learn about yourself more than anyone else could.

Appreciate yourself once

Or Twice or maybe a million times! Get in the habit of acknowledging the good things about yourself as you notice them. Start to learn to accept this interesting person, his/her greatness and flaws alike, and appreciate all of it. This might mean putting aside the judgments of yourself, and saying, "This is what makes you … you. And because of that, it is perfect and great."

Go on a Movie Date- Alone!

How much talking do you do during a movie anyway? Treat yourself to a date. Whether it's a deep and soulful experience or just a night off from your hectic life, we all deserve a break sometimes, and there is no greater company than you and no better movie then the one screening! Than you could just go over to your favorite restaurant and order your favorite meal! Best dates of all time!

Splurge a little... or maybe a million!

You know that gaming console that you’ve always wanted? Or that dress you saw at the mall? Treat yourself. Irresponsible spending won't help you love yourself, but it’s OK to occasionally remind yourself that you deserve to give gifts to you.

Whatever you choose to do, the most important step to falling in love with yourself is learning to appreciate yourself. Always remember what Wayne Dyer said, "You cannot be lonely if you like the person you're alone with." But loving yourself isn't all about spending all of your time alone. It's about finding the trust inside to love all of you, especially the parts that might be different than the people around you, because you have something no one else in the world has: YOU!

Sadness is a universal thing, and everyone, regardless of how privileged, lucky and healthy they are, may be sad at some point of their life. Let's just screw the fact that "Every Story has an Happy Ending". I’m talking about important stuff: SADNESS.

Of course, Happiness is a choice. So here's something I often wonder: Is sadness a choice too? You may say "Who wants to be sad?"

Happiness is something that most of us long for. Happiness is the positive emotion and state of mind that most of us want to live in. Sadness seems dark and dismal and something to flee from. Sadness, however, is something that we all experience at one time or another. And here I am trying to explain you that maybe it’s OKAY to be sad sometimes.

Sincerely: I do not take sadness lightly. But after a lot of thinking, I do take it than I was raised to, and than almost anyone else I know. Now, sometimes when I'm not sad and I think about sadness, that thought is accompanied by this startling one: I MISS IT...

You may say, that this guys is completely nuts, How could anyone miss Sadness!

Well, maybe that's just me! But I always feel that, its during your sad times, you may find the best people in your life! People who can make you smile, laugh and at the same time think about the decisions you are taking or may have taken!

The other day, I was having a chat with my friend. That day I was feeling incredibly sad and I couldn't explain why. In response, she consoled consoled me, "You are probably just stressed about something. It’s going to be OK." I could feel her love, and her desire for me to simply feel better.

But I told her that I didn't want to just feel better. I wanted to just forget some stuff, completely!

And you know what? I've learned that that is best way for me to ask for the support to feel, and just let it all be. She totally understood.

So next time you feel sad, let yourself be sad. It'll be OK, I promise. Don't worry about it too much, and don't force yourself to be happy. Accept that sometimes you're going to feel sad, and that it will pass, in the same way that happiness, anger, jealousy, and every other emotion you experience passes. Sometimes you have to let yourself just go with the flow for a little while.

Remember, It's OKAY to be happy, but it's OKAY to be sad, too.

Trust is hard to come by. That's why my circle is small and tight. I'm kind of funny about making new friends.
- Eminem
Trust is the foundation of all human connections, from chance encounters to friendships and intimate relationships... But some times, you may find yourself struggling to decide whether or not to trust someone.

Don't worry its normal not to trust someone easily! I don't trust people easily. And obviously don't throw discernment out the window when I encounter new people, but neither do I enter into new relationship with suspicion. Essentially, I choose to believe the best; to take people at their word; and to give people the benefit of the doubt. To put it another way, I trust people until they give me a reason not to.

Maybe you feel similarly, and even if you don't, you've probably experienced broken trust in a past relationship that has caused you to question whether or not it's worth trusting again. When you find yourself struggling to decide whether or not to trust someone, it's important to figure out the reasons why.

Here’s three common reasons that hold you back from trusting others:

Past experiences

People who may be hurt... Hurt! Those who have been hurt by broken relationships in the past often hurt other people as a form of self-protection. Whether it's unnecessarily withholding trust, having unrealistic expectations from others, or operating out of low self-esteem, our past experiences with broken trust can easily derail us from developing healthy, high-trust relationships.

Critical Inner Voice

Mistrust, doubts and suspicions are strongly influenced by the critical inner voice. This is the little guy we have in our mind since we were children; it consists of an internal dialogue that is antipathetic to our best interests and cynical towards other people. The critical inner voice is the culprit that triggers trust issues in people's closest relationships.

Unrealistic Expectations

Unrealistic, unspoken, and unclear expectations are a primary cause for low or broken trust in relationships, and the higher the expectations the more likely it is they won't be met. Clarifying expectations is preventative medicine when it comes to trust. It's much better to have the awkward or uncomfortable discussion up front about roles, responsibilities, and expectations, than it is to deal with the fallout when either party falls short.

If people with whom you are interacting might be untrustworthy, then there can be high risks to you in trusting them. So should you stick your neck out and trust others? Feel free to share your thoughts and comments.

I agree being a teenager isn't easy.  I myself am a teen and I know we do have so much pressures to deal with such as school, work, family, friends, hormones, and many other things. And you may agree if I say its the most frustrating time of our life! We feel so oppressed by our parents, and you may have had frustrating experiences with dating or in your friendships, And mind you I've faced all of these experiences!

To counter these fits, you may have just slammed doors or thrown pillows, which aren't that HUGE...

But I felt like writing this post, in the wake of the most recent horrifying teen crimes. Yes, you guessed it right the Munich shootings, that took place 22 July 2016. According to the news, the perpetrator, David Sonboly was an 18- year old boy who opened fired in the vicinity of a mall in Munich killing 9 people and injuring 36 others. Though I don't know much about his motive, he surely was a teen and it was his anger towards something that made him open fire at innocent people.

Then, Bhavish why are you letting us know about it? Well in this post I'm listing down 5 ways in which I calm myself down! And maybe you could try it out let me know. Deal?

1. Take deep breaths: Breathing from your chest won't relax you, so try breathing from your "gut."

2. Think about something funny: Although easier said than done when you are angry, if you can get yourself laughing, you can change your emotional state. You can use your brain and imagination to create all sorts of ridiculous situations that can get you laughing.

3. Avoid responding with physical aggression: If you've had a fight with someone, your first impulse may be to hit, push, or kick someone. If you feel like you need to punch or hit, rather than hitting a person, hit an object, like a pillow or a punching bag(Well that's what its made for!) .

4. Slowly repeat a calming word or phrase: Try telling yourself to caalm down by repeating words or phrases such as "relax" or "calm down". Keep repeating it to yourself while breathing deeply.

5. Talk with your best friend: Tell your friend or anyone you trust what is making you angry. In many cases, simply venting your frustrations will help you to cope with your anger, even if there is no solution presented from the conversation.

If none of this helps,  express your feelings through a piece of art or writing, it may help you figure out your thoughts. Simply write in a journal or paint a picture. You might draw a comic strip, or just write a book.

Guys, ANGER is a strong emotion. It can feel immense at times. But learning how to deal with these strong emotions, without losing control, will just make you a more mature person. It may take a little effort, a little practice, and a little patience, but you can get there if you want to.

Ever had this feeling where you just over-analyze your regular interactions or experiences, to a point that you just associate it with all the other bad things that have happened in your lives, and just start feeling miserable? Well that's what overthinking does to you.

I've always tried my best to stay positive, but occasionally I may just slip into some unwanted negative thinking patterns that may just wreak havoc in my life. I might worry about my past blunders or current stresses, and without my knowledge find out ways how these could lead to negative outcomes in the future.

Anxiety and overthinking tend to be evil partners. Because anxiety makes you overthink everything. Those who know me the most, may have noticed the high levels of overthinking I go through every fucking day! But its just the thought of overthinking that may just make me anxious... Cause it just fucks up my life!! I’ve had periods in my life when I have gone through an emotional difficulty or just taken some of the most bad decisions of my life.

There’s plenty of reason to stop over thinking, but if you're trapped in it, all of this may only make you feel worse and give you something more to fret about. But this post isn't just about overthinking, its finding ways to stop overthinking.

1. Accept that You Have a Problem with Overthinking.

First let's just accept it that we have problem! You know its said that the first step to healing is acknowledging the problem. Burying your head in the sand or denying this reality will only make the situation worse. If you are not sure if you have a problem, ask your best friends or loved ones, because they are usually the ones who will see it even if you cannot and maybe help you out solving it.

2. Forgive Yourself

Once you admit that you are an overthinker, forgive yourself, because the brain is hard-wired to make overthinking a natural tendency. When something bad happens or someone is feeling negative, they are more likely to think negative things and also see non-existent connections between all the bad events that have happened in their lives. The more frequently this happens, the more likely the individual is to over-think in the future. While the brain might be wired to make associations, once you become aware,it may soon start solving the problem.

3. Talk Less, Get Physical

So many overthinkers, especially those similar to me, you can't help but want to "talk it out" when we are feeling stressed and worried. While talking about the worries can sometimes help, it usually will make things worse, especially if the person you are talking to is also an overthinker, and you spend the entire time over-analyzing and dissecting every detail of every negative problem in your lives.

But I know, sometimes you just want to let the energy out! In this case, you could just go do something physical, whether it is going for a brisk walk, playing with a pet or children,  or doing yoga. Activities that are both mentally and physically engrossing are the best, because they require enough absorption to pull you out of obsessive thinking patterns and into a state of flow.

If you really feel the need to express your issues, you can always write them down, to clear them out of your mind and just tear down that paper. You may soon notice you are no longer the slave of your thoughts.

4. Phone a friend

This a method I personally recommend, cause sometimes an actual friend or a counselor, or advisor, can give you real perspective on the issues related to your overthinking. Take the time to talk with someone whose judgement and common sense you trust, and share the topic of your thoughts and the extent of your worry and thinking. Having a voice of knowledge and authority reinforce that everything is OK will help break the overthinking pattern.

Keep i mind, telling yourself to stop thinking about something can rebound. It just that the more you try to forget something, the more you remember it. So try busying yourself with an activity, exercise,, or get working on a project,  or a person that will distract your mind from the barrage of negative thoughts.

Lets end it here!
